Juan Posso's music is the exploration about odd times along with pentatonic melodies and jazz harmonies. The sounding result it's an extention of ecuatorian traditional music that combines concepts borrowed from carnatic and african music. It also has been influenced by different musical styles such as metal, latin and jazz.
